Birmingham’s Entertainment

Birmingham, the second city to London, where students from Birmingham City University, University of Birmingham, University College Birmingham and Aston University are based.

As one of the youngest cities in the UK, Birmingham offers a vibrant atmosphere for students providing a wide range of restaurants and entertainment in addition to a nightlife experience most cities will envy.

Nightlife On a night out you’re spoilt for choice, you can head to Broad Street and have your pick of clubs playing all the chart topping hits or you can head down to Arcadian where you can find smaller clubs and bars but you sure will not be disappointed.

Students tend to go to Snobs in Arcadian for cheap drinks and chart music on rotation, or you could head to Pryzm which is Birmingham’s biggest night club for just £5 or free before 11!

Our recommended clubs and bars: Pryzm, Snobs, Revolution, Walkabout, Players Bar and the Jam House.

Entertainment With a wide range of entertainment available in Birmingham such as the cinema, comedy clubs and the theatre you are really spoilt for choice.

Another hidden gem in Birmingham is Star City which is a 10 minute cab ride away and boasts a cinema, bowling alley, gaming centre, rock climbing and Goals football centre.

If you’re a fan of comedy you can either go the iconic Glee club or visit the Comedy Loft every Friday.

Food and Drink Whether you’re into a cheeky Nando’s or a fine dining, you can find a wide range of restaurants all over Birmingham, from Italian, Chinese to English pubs scattered around the City Centre.

You can find a list of recommended restaurants here.
