1. Look At The Christmas Lights
Although you weren’t able to go to the lights switch-on in person as it was all done virtually this year, there’s nothing stopping you from taking a walk through the town centre and admiring the lights.
As Guildford is in Tier 4 for local COVID-19 restrictions, which means you’re only allowed to meet one person that is not form your household in outdoor areas, and there will be no extended Christmas bubbles.
Of course, these are strict rules but you can still make yourself a hot choccy, wrap up warm, and take a look at the sparkling lights in this pretty town.
2. Guildford Christmas Farmers Market
In a normal year you’d take a trip to the Christmas Farmers’ Market at the Portsmouth Road car park where you can find a wide variety of delicious produce and unique gifts.
All the producers at the market must be within a 50-mile radius of Guildford and priority is given to primary produce such as farmers, fishermen, cheesemakers, and brewers.
Of course, this is not a normal Christmas, so you won’t be able to visit the market, but you can bring the best of it home, with some roasted chestnuts and Gluehwein that you can make yourself in your luxury accommoation.
Running all day from Saturday 19th December from 9:30-4pm, this is a great option for a festive day out with your friends and you can treat yourself too!
