1. Mozza Dundee

Located on Whitehall Street, this vibrant restaurant is mad for pizza and offers up a variety of authentic Italian pizzas to suit everyone’s tastes, which are wood fired to perfection.

Our favourite has to be their award-winning number 13 pizza, which comes served with Mozzarella, balsamic glaze, mortadella, ricotta cheese, crushed pistachios and extra virgin olive oil.

You can even add additional toppings or swap to a vegan cheese, oh and don’t forget to give their mouth-watering hot chilli dip a try.

Mozza’s is available to order for delivery or you can dine in for a meal with your friends.

Make sure to keep an eye out on their socials for the regular deals that they have on!

Pizza Chef GianMario has curated an extensive menu of delicious pizzas like the Pizza Padrino, which comes with tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, spicy chicken, Italian spicy salami, bacon and chilli.

If that’s not what you’re after, another must-try is their Pizza Da Parma with tomato sauce, buffalo mozzarella and thinly sliced san daniele parma ham.

Crust is a newcomer to the takeaway scene in Dundee having opened in 2021, but nonetheless it’s a must-try for students and locals alike.

Serving up freshly slow proved dough pizzas which are prepared fresh each day, the menu here offers a wide selection for you to choose from.

A highlight is the house special which comes with peri chicken, pepperoni, spicy lamb mince, onions and peppers.

If you’d rather decide what to have on your pizza, you can create your own for £11.99 with your choice of base, 1 meat and 2 veg toppings.

If you’re feeling peck-ish, they also offer some temping sides like pizza sticks, spicy potato wedges, and cheesy garlic dough balls.

This takeout should be a first stop for pizza lovers, considering you can order straight to your door using JustEat.

4. The Giddy Goose

It’s not just the name of this Bohemian style wine and pizza bar which grabs people’s attention, the food here is impeccable and will leave you wanting more.

The menu at The Giddy Goose specialises in hand rolled 12” stone-baked pizzas, trust us when we say it will be hard to decide on what to order.

If you’re a meat lover, try out their meat madness which comes with pepperoni, chicken, ham hock, chorizo and mozzarella.

For you veggies out there, their veggie supreme is super tasty and has roasted peppers, balsamic onions, mushroom and sweetcorn.

If you pop in on a Sunday, you can even make the most of their student-friendly deal with two for one on all pizzas – who could say no to that!

It’s not just the food which makes this place appealing…their stunning beer garden is perfect for enjoying some cocktails with friends and they even have live music sessions on the weekend.

You’ve got to try out their themed quiz nights with your flatmates too, pizza and booze?! It’s a winner.

5. Luigi’s Pizzeria

Luigi’s Pizzeria is a family fun, multi award winning pizza takeaway which has been a Dundee favourite since 1948 – now that’s impressive!

The folks at this place are passionate about flavour and freshness, with an extensive menu which focuses on wood fired handmade pizzas.

There’s a wide selection of pizzas to feast upon depending on what tickles your taste buds.

A favourite of ours is their The Braveheart Pizza which comes served with a double cream and parmesan base, stornoway black pudding and mcsweens haggis.

Another recommended pizza is their Montella with garlic mushroom, rocket and parmesan, make sure to get a side of hot and spicy chips too!

This place does get super busy so, if you’re wanting to give their lovely pizza a try, place a pre-order through their app for delivery or collection.

6. BrewDog Dundee

BrewDog may be well known for its Scottish brewery craft beers, but their epic sourdough pizzas are another selling point.

This no-nonsense chain bar offers up a variety of gourmet toppings on their homemade pizzas so we’re sure you’ll find something which hits the spot.

For those of you who like a kick, try out their pizza with ‘Nduja, pepperoni, chilli flakes, fresh red chillies, smashed Napoli tomatoes and Scottish mozzarella.

Order the basil aioli to dip your crust in too, it’s gotta be done!

A great part about eating out here is that half of their menu is vegan or vegetarian so everyone can enjoy some mouth-watering slices.

If you’re wanting a plant-based pizza, be sure to order The Hero with wild mushrooms, courgette ribbons, pine nuts, smashed Napoli tomatoes and rosemary.

If that wasn’t all, you can even grab 2-4-1 on all of their pizzas Monday through to Thursday until 5pm.

8. Tony Macaroni

Tony Macaroni is at the heart of the city centre along Whitehall Street, closeby to the V&A Dundee.

When we say the menu here is huge, we really mean it.

You’re spoilt for choice with the high quality dishes created by Italian celebrity chef, Fabio Campoli and the team of award winning chefs.

The best part is, it’s super affordable for your student budget as their sourdough pizzas are all £6.95.

We’d recommend ordering their Trentina with tomato sauce, mozzarella, ham and rocket, of course with homemade pesto on the side for dipping your crusts!

You can even swap the base on any pizza to BBQ or spicy arrabbiata, or change the mozzarella to vegan cheese.

Head to the restaurant for a nice dining experience or order online for a takeaway in your student flat.
