1. Reading and Leeds Festival
Kickstarting our guide to August Bank Holiday weekend festivals is none other than Reading and Leeds.
The events take place simultaneously from the 25th until the 27th of August, and boy is there a stellar line-up of artists from across a variety of genres for this year.
You can sing-along with your favourite people to headliners The 1975, Foals, Billie Eilish, The Killers, Sam Fender and Imagine Dragons.
There’s plenty of other amazing artists on the bill too, like Loyle Carner, Steve Lacy, Becky Hill, and Central Cee.
Why not head to Richfield Avenue or Bramham Park this August for a summer you won’t forget?

2. Creamfields North
Coming in hot is Creamfields North, one of the world’s biggest electronic music festivals which takes place annually on the August Bank Holiday weekend.
Year after year party revellers head to the Daresbury site to dance along to leading dance DJs.
Some of the highlights for this year are Adam Beyer, Amelie Lens, Andy C and David Guetta.
That’s not all either, there’s Chase and Status, Bou, Calvin Harris, Folamour and so many others set to take to the stage.
Unfortunately weekend tickets have long been grabbed up, but there are some Friday tickets with limited availability.

3. Lost Village Festival
August Bank Holiday festivals you say? We couldn’t not mention Lost Village!
Lost Village offers festival goers a 4-day experience like no other, taking place in the heart of a long-forgotten forest in Lincolnshire.
Here you can two step to some amazing artists in dilapidated buildings, old junkyards, hidden gardens and a disused airbase.
For 2023, there’s live music from Barry Can’t Swim, Bellaire, Ben UFO, Nia Archives and Mr Scruff amongst the many incredible acts on the line-up.
It’s not just good tunes and good vibes either, there’s creative workshops, unreal food, live interviews from artists, wood-fired hot tubs and so much more!

4. Victorious Festival
Next up on the August Bank Holiday calendar is the Victorious Festival.
Founded in 2011, Victorious Festival is a vibrant three-day music festival held annually in a stunning seaside location in Portsmouth.
If you’re wanting to live it large this August, get together with fellow music lovers and sing and dance away to Mumford & Sons, Kasabian, Jamiroquai, Ellie Goulding and Alt-J.
Not yet convinced? There’s also Kaiser Chiefs, Belle & Sebastian, Pete Tong Ibiza Classics and Jake Bugg set to blow the crowds away.

5. All Points East Festival
If you’re searching for an event in the capital to say goodbye to August in style, it has to be All Points East.
The buzzing annual music festival is held over two weekends in London’s Victoria Park and is run by AEG Presents.
For the 20223 season, there’s The Strokes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Girl In Red, and more performing on Friday 25th August.
On Saturday, you and your friends can sing and dance to Jungle, Erykah Badu, Nia Archives and Folamour, along with others.
Lastly finishing the weekend on the Sunday is Dermot Kennedy, Olivia Dean, SG Lewis as well as other first class performers.

6. Manchester Pride Festival
The famous Manchester Pride Festival returns again for another year this August Bank Holiday – we’re not sure about you, but we cannot wait!
Held in the city’s iconic Gay Village, Manchester Pride is a queer-run celebration of the LGBTQ+ community.
This incredible multi-day event sees thousands of people come together to support and celebrate lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender culture and people.
There’s so many ways you can show your support and get involved with the celebrations.
From attending the pride parade to the candlelit vigil to Superbia to the Gay Village party.
The Manchester Pride Festival has an array of events hosted across the full weekend, with some being free and others ticketed.

7. Notting Hill Carnival
One of the most iconic events in the UK, Notting Hill Carnival celebrates the rich history of Caribbean culture and has taken place since 1966.
Notting Hill is the largest street carnival in Europe with 2 million attendees taking to the streets of Notting Hill, Ladbroke Grove, Westbourne Grove, Westbourne Park and Kensal Road.
The main carnival is free to attend whilst the after parties are ticketed, so it’s well worth checking out if you’re studying in London.
Each year, there’s an exciting line-up of things to get involved with, including a world-famous parade featuring the best of mas, soca, calypso, steel bands and sound systems.
You can also try some of the mouth-watering food from across the globe with more than 300 stalls to choose from.

8. We Are FSTVL

One of the UK’s most popular electronic festivals, We Are FSTVL sees hundreds of international DJs take to the stage at Damyns Hall Aerodrome year after year.
For 2023 the festival is doubling in size, and you can party along to Adam Beyer, Amelie Lens, Andy C, Annie Mac and more spinning all of the best feel good tunes.
