In honour of Pride Month, we’ll be shining a spotlight on some incredible LGBT influencers who have created their own unique spaces online, empowering and inspiring others. 

These influencers inspire others to embrace their authentic selves and use their platforms to promote equality, challenge stereotypes, and create positive change.

1. Logan Brown 

When it comes to LGBT+ influencers who serve as beacons of hope, love, and progress, Logan Brown is one of our absolute favourites. 

Logan Brown is a 27-year-old transgender man who unexpectedly became pregnant with his partner Bailey J Mills, an iconic non-binary drag performer. 

Having first gained traction online for sharing his journey as a pregnant trans man on his blog Up The Duff Man, Logan has since gone on to pose as the cover star of British Glamour Magazine’s digital issue for Pride Month. 

Logan has truly been making waves for transgender representation with his empowering story, where he talks about queer love, dealing with transphobia and the birth of his baby daughter.

2. Max Balegde

Max Baledge is an incredible LGBT+ influencer who’s captured the hearts of over 3.4 million people with his authenticity and creativity.

Having started out on TikTok back in 2020, the 23-year-old from Lancashire has since gone on to be an online phenomenon thanks to his honest and funny videos. 

Since then, he’s racked up a huge following, gone on to interview on the red carpet, befriended celebrities like Jade Thirwall, and started his own podcast, The Useless Hotline with George Clarke. 

Each week, the hosts answer their listeners’ queries and dilemmas, no matter how big, small, weird or embarrassing, and help them by providing their own useless advice.

3. Shivani Dave 

Shivani is a journalist, broadcaster, and physicist who specialises in science and LGBTQ+ rights. 

Whilst working at BBC Radio Wiltshire as a presenter, Shivani came out as non-binary live on air during their first radio show in 2020. 

Now a presenter at Virgin Radio and a TikTokker with over 19k, Shivani uses their platform to amplify the stories of marginalised voices from the LGBT community and minority ethnic backgrounds. 

With content focusing on queer history to masc fashion to top surgery tips to LGBT education and so on, Shivani is inspiring and educating people across the UK.

4. Charlie Allan & Lauren Faulkner 

Charlie and Lauren are an Edinburgh influencer couple who have gained hundreds of thousands of followers across their TikTok, Instagram and YouTube platforms. 

Charlie’s a transgender social media influencer who found fame as the first Scottish trans man to appear on a TV reality show, starring in the MTV series True Love or True Lies? 

He and his partner then went on to launch their YouTube channel, Trans Life & Wife where they talk about Charlie’s transition from female to male and Lauren’s mental health battles with OCD. 

Fast forward to 2023, the couple have made social media their full-time job, set up an inclusive beauty bar in Edinburgh and have aired their four-part BBC Scotland series, Not Your Average Family.

5. Shaz Meenaawan 

The social media landscape has become a rich tapestry of creativity, self-expression, and activism over the last few years with so many amazing LGBT influencers changing the game. 

One influencer in particular who has taken the TikTok world by storm is Shaz, who goes by the name @mrspotatoqueen

Shaz’s real and honest content shines a light on life as a queer muslim woman living in London, with videos focusing on her experience with dating and relationships, her coming out story and falling in love with islam all over again. 

With over 110k followers, Shaz has created a platform which helps create a place for marginalised identities to express themselves. 

 

6. Charley Marlowe 

If you’re searching for someone to brighten up your social media feeds, Charley Marlowe is for sure an influencer you’ll want to check out. 

Charley is a 23-year-old comedian and presenter from Liverpool who’s best known for her comedy skits, lip syncing and dancing videos on TikTok.

The LGBTQ+ content creator has amassed a following of over 320k on TikTok thanks to her down to earth personality and hilarious presenting. 

Having obtained a Media and Performance degree, Charley has since gone on to work with huge brands like BBC, Spotify, and Mcdonalds.

7. James Barr & Dan Hudson 

There’s no one doing it quite like James Barr and Dan Hudson, that’s a fact. 

James Barr and Dan Hudson are the hosts of the UK’s award winning LGBT+ podcast, ‘A Gay and a Non Gay’.

In their weekly podcast, James and Dan talk about everything from day to day to differences in perceptions to homophobia to coming out to mental health to dating and so on. 

James and Dan’s wholesome friendship shows us that no matter who you are or what you’re into, everyone can and should be friends, regardless of their sexuality orientation. 

The wholesome pair have also starred in the BBC iPlayer documentary ‘Sashay To Hell’ and the BBC Radio 1 documentary From Gay to Non-Gay?

8. Krystal Lake 

Krystal Lake is a London-based DJ, influencer and filmmaker who blew up on TikTok back in 2020, and has since gained a following of over 530k. 

Across her various social media platforms, Krystal aims to teach her half a million followers “stuff schools don’t teach”. 

Her videos focus on uplifting marginalised groups and educating people on the history of the LGBTQ+ community, feminism, minorities, mental health and more.
