1. Freshers 2023 Silent Disco 

Kickstarting our guide to the best freshers week events in Manchester is none other than The Deaf Institutes Silent Disco.

From 11pm until 3am on the 15th of September, you can head to the dance floor and pick between multiple different headphone channels to cater for everyone’s music taste. 

There’s Hip Hop, RnB, Indie, Disco, Techno and DnB channels to choose from so you and your flatmates can craft your own club night playlist!

2. Jump Around // Pop Thursdays

The Venue Nightclub is the place to be this freshers week, with their special Jump Around // Pop Thursdays event taking place on the 14th of September. 

Here you can pop on your dancing shoes with a mix of indie, pop, dance and cheese tunes from ABBA to Beyoncé to Queen to One Direction to Whitney Houston, you name it, they’ll have it. 

Don’t worry about putting a hole in your pocket, they have drinks deals starting as just £2 so you can have a great time without hurting your student budget too much!

3. Indie Nation // Salford Special

If you’re a fan of indie music and are wanting to party until the early hours, you won’t want to miss out on the Indie Nation // Salford Special event. 

Taking place at The Venue Nightclub, here you can expect good tuned and good vibes from Salford legends like The Smiths, Joy Division, New Order, Happy Mondays and more. 

Venue has been a part of Manchester’s vibrant nightlife scene for 18 years, so you’re guaranteed a night out like no other.

4. Foreverland Manchester: Dopamine Dreams

Foreverland Manchester: Dopamine Dreams is the perfect opportunity to make some new friends and some great memories. 

Taking place in Manchester Academy on the 23rd of September, this event promises giant inflatables, themed characters, interactive art installations, bubble machines and confetti explosions. 

You and your flatmates can boogie along to the best house, tech and dance anthems until the early hours whilst making the most of cheap drinks deals. 

Tickets are currently on first release, so make sure to grab one now before the prices rise!

5. The Manchester Freshers Moving in Party 2023

The Manchester’s Freshers Moving In Party 2023 is the perfect chance to get a taste of the city’s nightlife scene and meet other students. 

Wondering what to expect? Factory 251 features 3 different rooms of music, with hip hop, RnB, Indie, pop, house, and more sound-tracking your night. 

There will also be free sweets, state of the art sound systems, lighting and lasers as well as plenty of drinks to choose from, so you’re certainly set to have fun! 

We recommend buying a ticket to this event early, as it does sell out.

6. Back to the 90s & 00s | Manchester Freshers 2023

After an event with a taste of nostalgia? Back to the 90s & 00s should be your first port of call. 

The fantastic line-up features 90s inflatables, retro glasses, candy favourites, confetti showers, as well as leading DJs bringing you the best old school bangers. 

To top it off, there will also be student discounts on drinks all night long so you don’t need to break the bank heading here.

7. The Big Freshers Icebreaker

Looking to start the year off with a bang? You need to get tickets to The Big Freshers Icebreaker.

This event is a rite of passage for students in Manchester, with on stage performances, amazing prizes, street entertainment, t-shirt giveaways, giant confetti balloon drops and more. 

The best part is, your wristband will include a list of social challenges to complete at the event with your new flatmates – what a great way to get to know each other! 

Be quick snapping up a ticket if you do want to go on the 16th of September, as they are on the final 300 release.

8. Quids In Monday Freshers Week 

When it comes to iconic club nights in Manchester, Quids In Mondays have taken place for the last 7 years, so you’re guaranteed a good time. 

Their freshers week special on the 18th of September will have 3 floors of music, provided by the best DJs across the UK. 

Room 1 will have dance anthems, whilst room 2 is classics, indie and pop, and room 3 is urban and hip hop so no matter your music taste, there’s something for you. 

There’s a huge demand for this event with over 1200 students set to attend, so bag your ticket now to avoid disappointment.
