Away from your room, our carefully designed on-site amenities elevate your everyday. Cook and dine with your friends using the fully equipped communal kitchen or relax in our lounge, furnished with comfortable seating throughout for you and your friends to enjoy. In the evening, beat your friends at pool or table tennis or Mahjong and have some well-earned fun!  Or simply chill in front of our 100” TV with a cup of tea!

If you are one of those students who enjoy studying in the company of others, then hunker down in our co-working space and library on the 8th floor with stunning views of the city.

Fitness is another important aspect of student life for both physical and mental health, so we’ve equipped our on-site gym with the machines you need to do your aerobic or full body strength exercise to stay fit.

On our lower ground floor, you will find our utility spaces, such as the laundry room -equipped with washing machines and dryers - and bicycle storage and bin store. (There are also bins located outside in the undercroft).

Your safety is ensured by an access control system ensuring only those living in the building can enter. CCTV is installed throughout the building.  Connectivity is key for so many and you will find our superfast Wi-Fi provides a reliable 250mbps speeds wherever you are in the building.

At The Rubik you will enjoy the best of city-centre living, with shops, cafés, restaurants, bars, entertainment and excellent transport links all on your doorstep.  Whether you’re heading to lectures, meeting friends for coffee, enjoying a night out or exploring the city, everything you need is right outside your front door!  The WestQuay shopping complex is 2-minutes from your front door with plenty of shops, restaurants and cinema to explore.

The Rubik sits just a 5-minute walk from Solent University. The UniLink bus service from the city centre to the University of Southampton campus takes less than 20 minutes. It leaves every 5 – 10 minutes from a bus stop less than a minute’s walk from The Rubik. Ideally positioned for students attending the University of Southampton and Solent University, it is a super base for both studying and enjoying university life. The University of Southampton's city centre campus is only a 5-minute walk from your front door, ensuring ease of access to both city’s major universities.
